Great thing about the Internet is that it lets
you check many prices before you order, however there are other factors you
must consider before buying - other than just price.
We are an Australian company
importing direct from the manufacturer [no other middle man], so while ordering from the US may seem cheaper based
just on the listed price but beware: as the US models are 110volt
US models are 110volt with a 110volt
element, fuse, etc.
You WILL have to buy a proper professional grade
power transformer or the fuse blows instantly and there is a risk to the
heat element. [Then it's a
bugger to find the right fuse to replace!]
We have already tried 110volt model's in Australia
and without the right transformer you may be up for a $300 repair if the
element and fuse blow.
Airfreight, Duty & GST must be added
US prices do not include import Duty and Taxes
- applicable to anything over $500. At a cubic wright of 13.5Kg customs WILL stop the parcel
and charge you. It's too large to miss so even if it's sent as a gift or
2nd hand item Customs WILL open it.
NEHOC give you a full 12 month warranty
There is NO warranty or
technical support applicable from NEHOC or a distributor if you buy in
the US, so if ANYTHING goes wrong you will have to freight the machine
back to the US supplier for servicing, or if you get NEHOC to service it
we will charge normal service fees for the labour cost. [we have 110volt
parts in stock]
So buying from the US may seem cheaper just
comparing prices US$1149 against AU$2980, but convert the costs to
Aussie dollars, add air freight, add duty, add GST and add any servicing
costs and the lower US price is suddenly much more expensive.
It's of course up to you - we just want you to know
there's more to it than just a price on a web site.
